The Baulkham Hills Sports Club bingo ladies have been very busy!
Our members and guests are always finding ways to help the local community and three weeks ago, the beautiful bingo gals jumped on board the Beanies for Baldies initiative.
B4B delivers handmade knitted beanies, booties, mittens and scarfs to patients in the Variety Ward at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. These patients include children suffering from cancer and other immunodeficiency illnesses, as well as infectious diseases.
The bingo ladies got together and made 162 beanies, 4 pairs of booties, 2 pairs of mittens and a scarf! The donation was the biggest single donation to B4B to date, and means they can officially expand beyond the walls of the Variety Ward into other areas of the Children’s Hospital, and out to other hospitals!
The ladies are still knitting away and will continue to support this incredible cause!
Well done to everyone involved.
